What Information We Collect

When you submit a quote list or custom inquiry on this site, we collect the contact and project details you provide: your email address, destination ZIP/postal code, optional contact name, business name, project notes, requested quantities, and target dimensions. If you contact us by email, phone, or WhatsApp, we receive the details contained in that communication.

Our web server and security provider also process technical data such as IP address, browser type, and requested pages in order to deliver and protect the site. We do not use any third-party analytics or behavioral advertising trackers on this site.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to evaluate technical feasibility, calculate shipping costs, prepare your written quote, and communicate with you about your inquiry or order. We never sell, rent, or trade your contact details to third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal Basis

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we process inquiry data to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and technical data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site. We respect privacy rights applicable in jurisdictions we serve, including California privacy frameworks (CCPA/CPRA) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Service Providers

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and respond to you:

• Cloudflare: content delivery, DNS, and security for this website.
• Website hosting: ColoCrossing (United States), providing secure server infrastructure.
• Resend: sends inquiry notification emails from this website.
• Zoho Mail: our business email inbox.
• Payment and messaging: PayPal for invoice settlement; WhatsApp (+8613602691612) and business email ([email protected]) for order communication.
• Logistics: Our production team and carriers receive the details needed to produce and deliver your order. Primary couriers include DHL, FedEx, and dedicated international air freight forwarders.

Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States and China. Inquiry data and design artwork are transferred securely between our server infrastructure in the United States and our manufacturing operations in China solely for quotation, proofing, and order fulfillment under strict technical and organizational security safeguards.

Proprietary Artwork & Brand NDA Protection

We understand that strain branding, logos, and packaging dielines represent valuable intellectual property. We treat all client artwork with strict commercial confidentiality:

• No File Uploads on Web: To protect vector asset integrity, our website does not accept direct public file uploads. Design assets are exchanged strictly via secure email or authenticated cloud links.
• Confidentiality Commitment: Your proprietary designs, strain artwork, and vector dielines are used solely to produce your packaging. We never resell, distribute, or reuse your custom designs for other clients.
• NDA on Request: We readily sign bilateral Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) upon request before you transmit sensitive strain artwork, brand dielines, or proprietary specifications.

Data Retention Schedule

In accordance with our automated data retention policies:

• Inquiry Records & Contact Details: Retained for up to 12 months from the date of submission, after which personal identifiable fields (email, name, business name, and notes) are automatically anonymised.
• Notification Logs: Email notification transaction records are permanently deleted 90 days after delivery or terminal failure.
• Server Access Logs: Web server request logs are purged after 14 days.
• Backup Archives: Automated database and system backup snapshots expire and are deleted within 3 months.

Cookies & Similar Technologies

This site only uses first-party browser storage that it needs to work. Today it sets no analytics, advertising or other optional cookies:

• Quote List (IndexedDB): Stores the packaging designs and quantities you add, locally in your browser, for up to 30 days so you can build and review your quotation request across visits. It contains only product identifiers and bag counts, never your contact details. When several tabs are open, a short-lived local storage message keeps them in sync and is removed immediately.
• Cookie Preferences: When you choose Accept All or Necessary Only, we save that choice in a first-party cookie (‘mylarlabs_cookie_consent’, 12 months) and keep a copy in your browser’s local storage, which stays until you clear this site’s data. It records only your choice and when you made it.
• Emoji support check (WordPress): A small technical flag about your browser’s emoji support is kept in session storage and is cleared when you close the tab.
• Security (Cloudflare): The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it needs to check that traffic is not automated, for example during a security challenge. These cookies are not used for analytics or advertising.

What your choice changes: Because the site currently uses only the strictly necessary storage listed above, Accept All and Necessary Only keep the site working in exactly the same way, and Necessary Only does not remove any of the items above. If we ever add optional cookies, such as analytics, they will only be used after you choose Accept All, and this list will be updated first.

No Advertising or Analytics Trackers: We do not use third-party analytics or cross-context behavioral advertising trackers on this site. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under applicable privacy frameworks.

Managing Your Preferences: You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie Preferences link in the site footer, or here: change cookie preferences. The preference control needs JavaScript; with JavaScript turned off, the site stores no preference cookie and the Quote List is not available.

Your Rights & Contact

To request a copy of your submitted inquiry data, request correction or immediate deletion, or inquire about your project records, email our privacy team at [email protected]. Requests are acknowledged and processed within 30 days.
